Villagers Claim Banana Tree In Thailand Predicts Lotto Numbers

Villagers in the remote town of Koh Sireh in Thailand believe that a banana tree is capable of predicting the winning numbers in lottery. People from as far as Phattalung, Phang Nga and Krabi, Thailand have been trooping to the village to pay visit and respect to the banana tree.
Some were hoping to be given the winning numbers of the lottery, while some are paying respect, claiming that the tree gave them fortune by giving them winning numbers.
A report by the Phuket Gazette said fortune seekers rub a mixture of powder and water on the trunk of the tree and then wait for an image resembling a number to appear as the solution dries up.
The “miracle” of the tree spread rapidly to nearby and far away villagers and now vendors are enjoying brisk sales selling beverages, food and other items to their visitors.
The newspaper said the tree have sparked local tourism in Koh Sireh.
A woman who sells soft drinks near the banana tree said between 100 and 200 visitors seek their fortune from the tree. Business have been good so far, the woman told the newspaper.
