I took this video during my last trip to Thailand in January of 08 at Sri Ratcha Tiger Zoo.

They take the newborn cubs from the tiger mom and replace them with piglets draped with fake tiger skin. The mother accepts them as her own and takes care of them…although she seems to bat them around a bit she acts no differently than she would if they were tiger cubs and she is fiercely protective of them.

Likewise the tiger cubs are placed with a pig that has just given birth and she treats them as her own as well. It really is a sight to see so I hope you enjoy the video.

Sri Ratcha Tiger Zoo is a great day trip while in Thailand. The zoo is an active breeding zoo of both tigers and crocodiles. As well as all the tigers you will see they also have many crocodiles, camels, deer and even a kangaroo…and you can have your picture taken with all of them.

The zoo is very beautifully landscaped and also has a petting zoo for the kids. They also have a circus style tiger show and a very good crocodile show.
