Yep, I’ve done firecrackers, gongs, bells, gold leaf on the head, gold leaf on the palms, the little strings blessed and tied around wrists and ankles…what else…oh the 20 baht note in my wallet even now that was blessed by the local abbot, lighting hundreds of joss sticks, candles and lanterns…so many different ways to gain luck, love, money and just about anything else you might desire.

Heh, all this mention of “good luck” and Thailand reminded me of how I was scammed by the famous Thai Gem Scam in Bangkok back in August 2007.
