Lao Storm Moving Across the Mekong

Beatiful day on the Mekong

As Martyn, of  Beyond the Mango Juice,  suggested in the comments of the last post,  there is nothing quite like enjoying your lunch on the Mekong and watching as a storm builds out of nowhere in Laos and then slowly rolls across the Mekong into Thailand. The day started out beautiful but the rain was definitely needed and decided to stick around into the night

These pictures make me feel quite cosy sitting here away from the elements.

Thanks for the plug and your photos remind me of waiting for the inevitable storm to come across and hit Nong Khai. A real good downpour does clear the air for a hour or two and makes a pleasant interlude from the hot and humid April weather. The clouds and rolling hills in your top photo are a sight a landscape artist would die for. Keep enjoying your hols and I’m enjoying reading your updates.
