I read Thailand Fever last year. I thought it gave a unique perspective from the Thai side of the relationship that I really hadn't considered.

Definitely and interesting read, and good for someone thinking about getting into a relationship.

I think Thailand Fever helps with the initial tick and tock but only time and patience really helps the understanding.

Talen once again a well scripted post. I reckon that if you move into someone else's culture then you have to give a whole lot more than you can expect to get back. In Thailand you have to make a great effort to come to their way of thinking rather than vice versa, but they need to make a little leeway as well. Tick and tock you are both different but you have got to make the clock work.

Talen, What a well-crafted review. Nice.

I enjoyed reading Thailand Fever. Even for Western women, it is a decent read.

For Thai language learners, it would be an interesting project to read the Thai and English side by side.

Chris has a new book out, the New Thai & English Pocket Dictionary (co-authored with Benjawan Poomsan Becker). You can read about it either at Paiboon Publishing or on Chris's site, slice-of-thai.com.

Talen I can't remember whether you mentioned this book before but I know I have heard the title. Sounds a good read, so seeing as the GBP is recovering a little I might splash out and treat myself if my Thai partner has left me any spending money!
