The LK Renissance is a great hotel. I had the same issue with the small room not having a stand up shower, and the shower head being hand held variety. Other than that it is great, and a good location. A friend recommended another LK Hotel - can't remember the name off hand - for great rates on a long stay. The hotel we stay at in Udon Thani is 900 baht a night but for that price you could get a much better hotel in Pattaya.
