Your ignorance shows when you tout Tojo as freeing the East…The Japanese killed thousands of Thai’s in their labor camps. If you indeed see these two figures as something to put on a pedestal then you obviously haven’t a clue.

Oh and another thing. Although they do not admit it to Europeans, a lot of Asians (this does not apply so much to Thais) admire the Nazis, because they helped destroy colonialism. They figure that Hitler did to European powers what European powers did to Vietnam, Indonesia, and other lands. Hitler and Tojo helped free the peoples of the east.

Hitler is a European obsession, not an Asian one. What the hell business is it of farang whether Thais sell Nazi memorabilia or put Hitler’s mug on their road signs? This whole thing with the Nazis has been blown out of the proportions that’s for sure. The amount of efforts generated by western civilization to remind the rest of the worlds regarding the Nazis is ridiculously absurd. As if there were other agendas rather than just to treat it as a piece of history.

why remind us so hard of them? If you can’t stand the sight of them? Why don’t just try to forget and everybody can go their own way happily, rather than making so many NatGeo or BBC documentations and Holywood movies? This is by my standard: peculiar.

As if they were trying to glorify the hatred and reaping certain advantages. But to justify what? All I know, the media highlights on the Nazis are waaay to systematic.

This is quite unbelievable… I never knew that some parts of the world would be that oblivious of common knowledge and important events in history. I’m shocked that the teachers apparently encouraged their students to that event, they really should know better. A lot better.
