In cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, The Thailand Office of Tourism and Sports as well as Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association, Chiang Mai is proud to bring to you the Chiang Mai International Food Festival 2011.

Bringing together cuisine from around the world Chiang Mai will transform itself from a city of amazing cultural value to a world class culinary delight for 5 days during July.  Featuring foods and cuisine from Japan, Germany, America, China, India, Peru and Korea to name a few The Chiang Mai International Food Festival will also host seminars, cooking displays and exhibitions by expert chefs on Macrobiotics, Fruit Carving, Medicinal Cuisine and so much more.

The Chiang Mai International Food Festival will undoubtedly be a sight to behold and pleasure to all the other senses as well.

Chiangmai is a major city for tourism in Thailand. With its outstanding cultural heritage, strategic location and well-facilitated infrastructure, Chiangmai was voted “the second best” in 2010 World’s Best Cities Poll by Travel & Leisure Magazine, American Express. The city is also ranked by Lonely Planet one of World Top Ten Destinations 2011, and is recommended as a “Value Longstay Destination”. The Chiang Mai International Food Festival is just another in the long line of wonderful festivals sponsored by Chiang Mai to boost tourism to Thailand and bring the world to Chiang Mai’s overstep.

Chiangmai is the center of North Thailand, and moreover, is a leading city in the Greater Maekhong Sub-Region (GMS) in terms of tourism, health care, education, industry and commerce. Despite the dynamic development, Chiangmai still maintains its cultural charms and good balance of natural resources.

          Snap, what does it matter if the coffin is a bit large…you’ll be dead and if you make sure in your will that you have people you dislike as all the pallbearers then all the better :)
