The national flag of Thailand adopted in 1917. The flag has 5 horizontal stripes of red,white, and blue. The middle blue stripe being twice as large as the others. The Thai name for this flag is Thong Trairong which means tri-colored flag.
The standard of the King of Thailand. A solid yellow flag with a red Garuda in the center. The Garuda, which originated in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, is the national emblem of Thailand as well as a symbol of the Thai Royal family.
The standard of the Queen of Thailand. The same as the kings standard but in smaller ratio with a swallow tailed end.
The standard of the Crown Prince of Thailand. The kings standard with a blue border.
The standard of the Royal Consort of the Crown Prince of Thailand.
The Royal standard used for all other Thai Princes.
The Royal standard for all other Thai Princesses.


Wow, very interesting flags. I find it interesting that there are different flags for kings/queens/princes/princesses etc. Is that common across many countries in that part of the world? Or just Thailand?
