I remember when I was first a tourist here on a guided tour back in 2000. We must have visited every temple in Bangkok-I was up to my eyes with them! That said now I live here I always take the opportunity to visit sites when I am in an area. Even the new ones are spectacular. I agree about the respect angle, I always wear long trousers and easily removable footwear.
