Thailand Exempts Tourist Visa Fees for 3 Months

From March 5th through June 4th all tourists who apply for tourist visas at either a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their home country will be exempted from paying the normal tourist visa fee. This also includes those who are eligible to apply for a visa on arrival at designated checkpoints.

This is yet another perk from the Thailand tourist Authority and the Thai government to help the ailing Thai tourism industry.

The fee exemptions are only for tourist visas, any other visa applied for will still carry the associated fees.

Tourist visas are for those people who wish to stay in Thailand for a maximum of 60 days for tourism purposes only.

For more visa and consulate information you can check out the Visa section.

Talen, definitely worth the effort of getting the visa since they reduced the length offered to 15 days for visa on arrival.

Well done Thailand.
