Pattaya Dive Festival 2010

The Pattaya Dive festival will take place on November 13th. The event was conceived to creat awareness for the need of marine preservation in Pattaya as well as to promote SCUBA diving and general tourism to the Pattaya City Area.

The event has been organized by Dive Indeed, Dive Now, Innovative Diver, Mermaids Dive Center and Wahoo Diving Center, focusing on educating and creating awareness, as well as promoting Pattaya as the local Dive Location for Bangkok based scuba divers.

Pattaya Dive Festival 2010, is a non-profit event, with all proceeds going to local marine conservation charities.

The day will be full of fun including underwater and beach clean ups, as well as other great activities for all to join in on such as treasure hunts and photo contests. There will be lots of prizes to be won and a great party will take place in the evening, with food, drinks and entertainment.

The Event Schedule is as follows:

7.00 AM
Participant together at Balihai pier to register and get diving equipment.

8:00 AM
“True Explore & Amarin Outdoor Unlimited present Pattaya Dive Festival 2010 by Reflection Condominium” opening ceremony starts. Organizer will also educate participants about the safety and to create awareness about underwater environment.

9.00 AM
Participants start to get on to their boats

9.30 AM (Boats will be separated in to two goups)
First group departs from Balihai Pier to Koh-Larn for Treasure Hunt by Reflection Condominium while another group go to Koh-Krok for underwater photography activities.

Non Divers will go to the Island to do Island Treasure Hunt

10.30 PM
All Boats meet at Koh Larn or Koh Sak

11.00 PM
All Participants go to Island to clean Up Beach

12.00 PM
Lunch on board

1.00 PM
All boats depart to Koh-Lann or Koh-Sak (depends on the weather) to start underwater cleanup

4.00 PM
Participants back into Balihai Pier and relax by themselves

4.30 PM
Press Cocktail Party starts at dusitD2 baraquda Pattaya

6.00 PM – Midnight
Evening Event & Closing Ceremony – Party starts at Reflection Condominium, Jomtien Beach Pattaya. During the party, we will introduce the sponsorship and announce the winner from day time activities. In the evening event, there will also an exhibition about Local Dive and Marine Life, Marine Life Conservation, and Local Activities.

There is a registration fee for all people attending the festival that is 2400 baht.

What’s included

Breakfast is included on arrival at Balihi, after registering

For Certified Divers, the day includes two dives

For non-certified divers, the day includes Treasure Hunt by Reflection

For all the day includes lunch, water, Tea and Coffee

For all, the day includes Beach Clean Up after lunch

For all Day Time participants, the day includes evening event with food and some drinks.

For all Participants, the day includes exhibition as well as activities and entertainment at evening event

For all Day Time participants, all equipment is included if needed.
