The 4th annual Thailand International Balloon & Adventure Sports Festival will be taking place between December 2cnd and December 6th 2010 and looks to be an action packed 5 days of spectacle, thrills and great fun.
The beauty of the balloons taking flight is well worth the trip to Khundan Dam in Nakornnayok Province but the organizers have taken it to the next level with 5 days of adventure sports, fairs, great food and games. Along with the daily balloon flights you will also be able to enjoy para gliding, inline skating, white water rafting, motor sports, rock climbing, ATV riding, zip lines, shooting, kayaking, paintball, mountain biking and kite flying to name just a few activities planned for this years events.
The Balloon festival is billed as the biggest event in Thailand with an expected audience of 150,000-300,000 on site and millions watching via live broadcasting.
This is the first year that festival organizers have brought together the Balloon Festival with a host of other great adventure sports for a week of sport, excitement, fresh air and fun in the beautiful surroundings of Nakornnayok.
Tickets to the 2010 International Balloon & Adventure Sorts Festival are 100 baht per person and can be bought through Thai Ticket Master or on site.
With the amount of people expected the organizers have also made sure that all the proper precautions are in place with on site medical units staffed with doctors and nurses as well as mobile rescue units.
If you like to smoke or drink keep in mind that there will be no cigarette or alcohol sales allowed at the festival but there will be designated smoking areas.
There will also be ample parking available and free shuttle buses to and from events.There will also be camping available if you desire to sleep on the festival grounds as well as ATM’s and exchange booths for your convenience.
